Chris Barre

PRESIDENT
Technikel Solutions LTD was founded in 2010 by Chris Barre. Chris has always had a passion for technology, entrepreneurial business and sales. His history of starting successful businesses, combined with his education and experience with computers and providing IT solutions, makes him the perfect candidate to alleviate your business’s technology headaches. Chris is well known for his innovative approach to IT solutions delivered in a personable and user friendly manner.

Rob Snowden

SALES ASSOCIATE
Rob grew up on the North Shore and has a degree from Western in London, Ontario. Rob was drawn to the innovation and fast-pace of the technology industry. Rob has developed a client-focused sales approach seeking first to understand the culture of each organization before helping them be more efficient/profitable. He positions himself as a Connector/Educator/Consultant (rather than a traditional “sales” guy). At the weekend, Rob coaches rugby, plays golf & walks his dog (to the nearest craft brewery)!

Peter Haile

SERVICE MANAGER
Peter brings work experience, a positive attitude, and a degree in Network Security and Administrator from BCIT to the table. While he enjoys staying up to date with technology and can definitely talk the ‘geek’ talk, he is not your typical IT guru – Peter enjoys playing soccer, watching hockey, doing the Grouse Grind and has been known to partake in the occasional craft brewery bike tour. However, as of March 2017, Peter became a proud new father and as such his recreational activities and exercise regimes may be subject to change.

Koustav Mitra

PRO SERVICES TEAM LEADER
Koustav is a graduate in Computer Science engineering from Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops. He has been working in the IT industry since 2012 and has 7 industry related certifications (Linux, CCNA, Network+, Datto, ITIL , etc). Koustav lives and breathes documentation and pioneers various standards and process which enables him to manage projects and solve critical issues. In his free time he enjoys reading mangas and loves to cook. He is a fitness enthusiast and can be found at the gym after work.

Maggie Gorzyczka

ONSITE SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Maggie has a Masters of Information Systems Management from Bellevue University. She started her career in IT Managed Services in 2015 while living in the USA. She loves problem solving and working on computer networks. Originally from Poland, she has now settled in North Vancouver and we are so happy that she has joined our team! When she’s not working you can find her in local yoga studios, hiking or reading.

Sean Ellis

Support Specialist
Sean is a recent graduate of BCIT’s Technology Support Professional program, but he began learning about and playing with computers at a very young age. Sean’s natural aptitude for troubleshooting, as well as his approachable ‘go the extra mile’ attitude make him an exceptional member of our team. Prior to going to BCIT Sean held the position of crew supervisor at a prominent landscape company. This born and raised North Vancouverite loves spending time with family and friends at the beach and in the forest.

Dennis Lee

SYSTEM ENGINEER
Dennis has loved computers since high school. Dennis loves the challenge and innovation of technology and has a passion for learning new things. He has worked with computers for over 30 years and directly with end users and networks for 20 years. Currently he is working on his Masters of Cloud Technology. When Dennis isn’t working you can find him spending time with his wife and 3 kids most likely, coaching baseball, playing hockey, playing slow pitch, or trying to fit in a golf game.

Lorraine Thompson

DISPATCH / ADMIN
Lorraine brings over 20 years of customer service experience, most recently in retail management. She wears many hats at Technikel Solutions working in dispatch and administration. Lorraine loves to travel, being creative in the kitchen and spending time with her husband and 2 adorable cats.

Jess Sprowson

CONTROLLER
Jess joined Technikel Solutions as our first in-house controller. She excelled in her Accounting Assistant studies at Capilano University, and transferred her love of solving puzzles to make our financial systems more efficient and organized. In her spare time she loves to enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings with friends and family, or to curl up with a book related to whatever topic she is currently passionate about.

Pavol Saffo

Support Specialist
Pavol has a Master degree of Informatics and Information Technologies, been working for biggest international companies as a network engineer for 5 years. His strong quality is networking, he is CCNP and Azure certified. He is a hard-working tech and always coming up with creative solutions. Pavol is a traveler freak, his last adventure was road trip from Alaska to Mexico. Every possible moment he is backcountry skiing or hiking in mountains and spending time with his wife and border collie , Roxxy.

Mathew Maybee

TECHNOLOGY ACCOUNT MANAGER
Having built his first computer at the age of 10, Mat found his passion for IT very early on. Het got his feet wet in the industry starting with a Y2K maintenance rollout for St Pauls Hospital, then moved on after a series of big company contracts to work exclusively for SMB IT support. He really enjoys interacting with clients, and outside of work, he hold two Canadian national deadlifting records for the CPL, and is slowly becoming a house music DJ who truly loves learning about crypto and DeFi.

Tyler Gibb

SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Tyler is a recent graduate of the Technology Support Professional program at BCIT and holds several IT certificates, including CompTia Network+ and Security+. He also spent several years at the UofC studying computer science, as he's been into computers and technology for most of his life. Before becoming a tech support specialist, he worked in a restaurant as a day prep cook and purchaser. When not working he spends time gaming, snowboarding, reading and tending to his garden.

Jaicob Darmadi

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & SALES
JD has been working in sales/marketing since he was 12 years old and since then has been able to meet some of the major players in his city that have allowed him to grow in the industry. He continues to pursue his passion and mentor other individuals who are hungry for more. JD has a degree in Kinesiology from Camosun college. JD is a very charismatic person who is passionate about family/friends, travel, technology, and cars. His hobbies include outdoor activities and adventures, high adrenaline sports, and being with friends.

Saif Khan

TECHNICIAN
Saif completed Master's Degree specializing on Computer Security and Forensic Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Made it to Dean's Honours list). He was an Apple Certified technician/tech specialist at London Drugs. He completed Google IT support Professional Certificate and has had 3+ years working experience and volunteering Experience in the IT field.

Karen Barre

CHIEF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Karen has many responsibilities in her role including: developing sales and marketing opportunities, strategic planning, overseeing HR and finance. She loves strategic planning, continuous learning and measuring results. Always bringing a positive attitude, Karen contributes greatly to building a cohesive team environment and a productive and happy work culture. When Chris and Karen aren’t working you can find them enjoying local beaches and parks with their 3 kids.
